Madhyapur Thimi plans to protect traditional architecture

Madhyapur Thimi Municipality has promulgated to provide grant to the locals for building houses in the traditional styles as an effort to protect the antediluvian crafts and styles.

Executive officer at the Municipality, Ram Prasad Pathak, verbally expressed the municipality promulgated such schemes fearing that modern style houses were being constructed even in the antediluvian settlements by destroying the traditional houses. He added such scheme was introduced to protect traditional houses in the inner components of the municipality and encourage the locals to built houses predicated on traditional styles.

The municipality has promulgated cent percent discount to pass the maps drawn for building such houses along with 50 per cent grant to buy artistic bricks that are decorated in the front components of the house.
