Four injured in petrol pump fire in Thimi

Four persons were injured in the fire at Siddhartha petrol pump in Madhyapur Thimi municipality-1 on Tuesday evening. The injured have been identified as Sita Tamang, her spouse Ram Tamang, labourer Nirajan Uprety and a tanker helper Pawan Shrestha.

Although three injured ones returned home after the treatment, Sita Tamang is still undergoing treatment at TU Teaching Hospital, said DSP Shyam Babu Oliya, from Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi.

The fire was extinguished with the help of fire extinguisher and the fire engine from Bhaktapur. The cause of the fire and details of the loss are yet to be received, police added.
