Employment to youths through cooperatives: Minister Basnet

Minister for Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Ambika Basnet, has said the government has brought the Cooperatives Act to save the deposit from 6.2 million people associated with cooperatives.

At the 23rd annual general meeting of Upakar Saving and Credit Cooperatives, Madhyapur Thimi, on Thursday, Minister Basnet said that jobless youths could get employment if million of rupees deposited in cooperatives could be invested in employment-generating sectors.

There are more than 34,000 cooperatives across the nation. RSS
